YOUR ADVISOR
MY BACKGROUND
I am a native Texan (even if I am often mistaken for a Yankee or a Brit based on how I talk...), born in Dallas and a resident of Austin since 2011.
I am also a determined go-getter who learned early on how to manage failures while not giving up on my goals.
Starting in high school, I learned to roll with the punches. I was rejected from multiple colleges, only to find my way towards a fortunate entry into Harvard for my undergraduate experience. It was an early life lesson regarding how to manage setbacks while also not giving up on oneself.
For personal reasons, my professional goals led me towards taking a career opportunity in Austin. Based on my own professional experiences as well as experiences from those around me, I believe everyone could use an external perspective on how to approach professional development and career moves.
Unfortunately, it can sometimes very difficult to figure out how to find those resources. Some people might not know where to start, while others might not be able to afford hiring the right support.
I am thankful for both my own experiences as well as all of the insight I've gleaned from those around me who have supported my development. I want to return the goodwill by providing free services to individuals who are looking for that second professional perspective; this platform is my medium for achieving such a goal.

MY SEARCH EXPERIENCE
I directly know what it's like to wade through the challenge of searching for the right opportunity, from both sides of the table.
I can personally cite direct experience with 100+ job applications over the past 7 years. Fortunately, through my efforts, I have successfully joined multiple outstanding companies. However, I also know through experience what it's like to go through a variety of other job application situations, including hiring wait-lists, delays and rejections.
I have also served as a manager directly involved with the hiring process for a rapidly-growing Austin company, interviewing 100+ candidates over the past several years. I know what hiring managers look for in terms of key strengths as well as red flags.
Based on my combined experience, I explicitly understand how the current job application environment strongly favors the hiring parties, and how that puts a deeper level of work and frustration on the part of the applicant.
My experience is not constrained to my own professional development. I have also coached and mentored many others towards new opportunities; these individuals have ranged across a variety of age ranges, education levels, and degree of job experience.
